Through November Stop in at the Rice Lake Chamber of Commerce office to purchase your raffle tickets or talk to one of our Board members for a chance to win some Big Bucks! The Rice Lake Chamber of Commerce Big Bucks Raffle features six cash prizes including a top prize of $1,000. Tickets are $10 each or three for $25. Proceeds benefit Chamber projects and programs. You don’t need to be present for the November 7th drawing to win. Tickets are available at the Rice Lake Chamber of Commerce office at 37 S. Main Street in Rice Lake. September 19th Thursday The Cumberland Volunteer Partners invite everyone to their Homemade Soup & Sandwich Luncheon on Thursday from 11a-1p at the Augustana Lutheran Church Great Hall in Cumberland. Suggested donation is $10. Proceeds to benefit healthcare scholarships. September 21st Saturday The Rice Lake Snow & Dirt Club invites everyone to their Power Sports Expo at the Barron County Fairgrounds on Saturday from 9a-4p. Displays, demos, and sales of new ATV’s, snowmobiles, trailers, and all related merchandise and services. Dairyland Garden Tractor Pull starts at 10:30a. Food & beverages available. Admission is $2 with kids 12 and under free. September 21st Saturday Cameron Fall Family Fun Fest in on Saturday. Shop the street sale from 9a-3p with a chance to win prizes. Celebrate the Main Street Ribbon Cutting at 1:30p in front of the library. Face painting and games for the kids. Free snacks. Raffles and silent auction. Hall of Fame kicker Chester Marcol will appear at the old Cameron school gym from 2p-4p followed by a showing of Cheeseheads: The Documentary. September 21st Saturday St. Joseph/St. Catherine’s Autumn Fest/Salad Luncheon is on Saturday from 9a-1:30p in the lower level of St. Joseph Church in Shell Lake. A raffle, silent auction, bake sale, and craft sale will also take place. Lunch served from 11a-1p. Cost is $6. Carry-outs available. September 22nd Sunday Parkview United Methodist Church in Turtle Lake invites everyone to their Harvest Dinner on Sunday from 11:30a-1:30p. Menu includes chicken, mashed potatoes & gravy, garden fresh veggies, homemade pie & ice cream, and more. Cost is $9 for adults, $5 for kids six-twelve, and five and younger are free. Carry-outs available. September 22nd Sunday Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dobie will host their Fall Festival and Roast Beef Dinner on Sunday from 11:30a-1:30p. Menu includes roast beef, mashed potatoes & gravy, pies, kolaches, and more. Cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children under 10. Takeout meals available. The festival also includes a bake sale, produce booth, and a cake walk. September 25th Wednesday The American Legion Burger Night at the Rice Lake Veterans Center is on Wednesday from 5p-7p. Menu includes burgers, wings, shrimp, fries, and onion rings. Bar opens at noon. Everyone is welcome. September 30th Monday Salem Lutheran Men’s Clubs 66th Annual Pancake Supper is on Monday from 4p-7p at Salem Lutheran Church in Barron. Menu includes potato, buttermilk, and gluten free pancakes plus sausage, applesauce, and beverages. Cost is $7.50 for adults, $4 for kids six-twelve, five and under are free. September 30th Monday Zero Waste Living: Simple Steps for a Sustainable World will be presented by April Hepokoski of Zero Waste Duluth at the Shell Lake Public Library on Monday at 6p. The event is free and open to all ages. Kids under 10 will need to be accompanied by an adult or caregiver. October 5th Saturday The Rice Lake Elks Lodge #1441 will host The Comedy Machine on Saturday. Dinner starts at 5:30p. Menu includes steak or chicken, served with baked potato, vegetable, dinner roll, and salad. Cost is $25 in advance or $30 at the door for dinner and the show. Cost is $15 in advance or $20 at the door for the comedy show without dinner. The Comedy Machine features award winning comedian and impressionist Bob Jay and friends. To purchase tickets call or visit the Rice Lake Elks Lodge. October 6th Sunday The American Legion Breakfast Buffet is at the Rice Lake Veterans Center on Sunday from 8a-11a. All you care to eat biscuits & gravy, pancakes, waffles, bacon, and more. The public is always welcome. October 9th Wednesday The Kiwanis Golden K All You Can Eat Chili Feed is on Wednesday from 4:30p-7p at the Rice Lake Senior Center. Cost is $6. |
August Chetek Wine Walk
Ivy Lillian is the 15- month-old daughter of Joey Palumbo & Shawna Seidling who is the owner of Just Imagine Floral & Vintage Treasures in Chetek. Ivy was born with an ultra-rare genetic disease called WAGR Syndrome which affects many parts of her body’s system. Doctors are keeping a very close watch on her eyes and kidneys during her checkups which 400 are scheduled every three months. GlASSES AvAIlABlE!
