Election Musts

The most important thing Wisconsin voters should know about today’s election is that a photo ID will be required to vote.

There are a few very special exceptions to this new law, but the Wisconsin elections commission reminds voters to bring a photo ID with them to the polls.

In most cases, a Wisconsin Drivers License is acceptable. And, voters can still register at the polling place today.

A few rules to be aware of – it’s against the law to take a photo of your ballot.  Also because Wisconsin is a battleground state with emotions running high, state election officials remind voters that wearing clothing advertising your candidate, wearing political buttons or pins, or carrying sings near a polling places is against the law.
