Testimony is underway in the trial of a man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend and her daughter, then setting fire to their New Richmond, Wisconsin home.

37-year old Cristian Daniel Nunez is charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the deaths of 30-year-old Courtney Bradford and her 10-year-old daughter, Jasmine.

On the afternoon of Sept. 2, 2015, police received a 911 call about a possible fire at a home in the 1400 block of Hallewood Boulevard.

Inside, authorities found the bodies of Courtney and Jasmine. According to court documents, the bodies were found in different levels of the home, and both victims suffered stab wounds and injuries from blunt force trauma.

Nunez was arrested in El Paso, Texas the following morning.
Prosecutors say Nunez was angry and jealous that Bradford was dating other men and had planned the murders in advance.
The trial is expected to last a week.
