The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection will host meetings this week to explain this year’s gypsy moth spray plans.

Nearly 90,000 acres at 36 sites in 14 counties are scheduled for treatment.

The counties in Northwest Wisconsin that are set to receive aerial treatments include Barron, Bayfield, Burnett, Chippewa, Douglas, Dunn, Eau Claire, and Rusk Counties.

Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with staff, learn more about the gypsy moth treatments, and see maps of treatment areas.

The open house includes meetings in Menomonie on Wednesday, (March 14), from 5pm-630pm, at the Menomonie Public Library, and on Thursday, (March 15), from noon-2 p.m., at the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Service Center in Spooner.
